Join us for a weekly gathering to discuss your experiences with your new baby, have your questions answered by counseling professionals, and have time to meet other new mothers. This group is open to any mother, new or repeat, current patient or not, with a baby from birth to 9 months.
Baby Steps: Back to Work and Pumping Consult ($60)
If you headed back to work full or part-time and breastfeeding, you will find this consult helpful! Make a private appointment with one of our Lactation Specialists to discuss topics such as storing and handling breastmilk, pumping techniques, paced bottle feeding, maintaining your milk supply, and balancing work and home. Bring your pump along to make sure it is fitting properly and operating to its fullest potential. Consults are 45minutes in length for the rate of $60. Please pay by cash, check or credit card at time of the visit since this visit is for you and not for your baby. We will give you a receipt that you may try to file with your insurance company for reiumbursement. Your baby is welcome to join us for your consult of course ! Monthly Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
Come and learn about the benefits of breastfeeding for both Mom and baby. Class discussions include proper techniques and what to expect in order to ensure a successful breastfeeding relationship. These classes will be led by a certified Lactation Specialist and rotate between the Lansdowne and Purcellville offices. Classes are offered monthly. PLEASE CALL FOR TIME, DATES AND TO REGISTER
Provider Meet & Greet Sessions
Meet our providers outside of the office! Current and prospective families are welcome to attend our next Provider Meet & Greet sessions located at the Lansdowne office.
We are no longer hosting Meet & Greets at our Purcellville office as of May 2011. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Breastfeeding Support Services
We firmly believe in supporting our breastfeeding mothers; therefore, we are selling breastfeeding supplies and Moby wraps in both offices. We want to offer the convenience of "one-stop shopping." There are true benefits in not having to pack up your baby (and possibly other children) and leave our office to shop for your supplies. Also available to you are private appointments with our Lactation Specialists to discuss any issues or questions that you may encounter during this time with your new baby.
Childbirth Education Classes
LPA is hosting Nurtured Beginnings, LLC for Childbirth Education Classes, Childbirth Refresher and Newborn Essentials. These classes are taught by experienced pediatric and mother-baby Registered Nurses with certification in Childbirth Education. Classes are being scheduled for both Purcellville and Lansdowne offices. Next Childbirth Education session runs Tuesdays Dec 7th through Jan 4th (skipping 12/21) from 6:30-9:00pm.
